Black Female Creatives You Need To Follow

I’m sure that you’re aware of everything going on in the world at the moment in regards to the Black Lives Matter movement and the murder of George Floyd (if not, please take the time to educate yourself on this important topic, here’s one article to get you started). I, like many others, hope that out of this tragedy will come a greater change for the better: changing our institutions to get rid of racist systems, educating ourselves on our privilege and learning how to actively become anti-racist and challenge the racist-norms in our daily lives.

There are various posts, both in the blogging community (check out Rebecca’s and Michelle’s) and on the internet in general, curating ways in which you can aid the Black Lives Matter movement. I’ve listed some resources below however I encourage you to actively seek these out as well if you have not done so already. Rather than writing a similar post (as theirs’ are already so well-written), I thought I would share some of the Black female creatives whose content I am loving. I have to admit that a couple of weeks ago I wasn’t following some of these women, however, I have since made an active effort to diversify my feed. By sharing, I hope to amplify black voices and introduce you to some incredible individuals.
